My wiper cover has been in the door bin for months. Maybe I'll try the dab of silicone if I think of it.

I lost two on my '05CS before I finally got off my duff and did the silicone trick.

The really annoying thing about replacing the cover is the new unit is $40-$50. Why? Because the cover comes delivered with the microswitch included.

For what it's worth, we do sell replacement wiper arm caps without the switch. Fits 955 and 957:

I also lost my rear wiper cover from my Panamera after going through a car wash. I had a makeshift cover for a while until I was able to buy one from the dealer. Now I keep a spare one in the car.

Well that's at least happened on 4 cars now so that qualifies as an internet forum epidemic.

Weird. I better get rid of my 955 before it happens to me!

Default Silicone or glue?

I too lost a rear cover. My salesman suggested putting a little glue on the replacement cap. Can anyone explain the silicon fix?

I lost a valve stem cap a while ago. I think this may portend my Cayenne entering into the POS category. Should I sell it?

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Cheers,
TomF

Definitely scrap heap or parts car material by the OP's standards!

Let me know if you part it out though I could use a few things!

100% Silcone sealant acts as a nice all-weather adhesive. Same concept as your dealer's recommendation just different execution.

Thanks, Scott. I'll give that a try.
