Default Coil packs and spark plugs -- anything else?

'06 CS. Ordered 8 of each:

948-602-104-21
999-170-218-90

Anything else I should look for while I'm in there??

Thanks,
Matt

That mount on pass side that bolts engine to body on top. Check the bushings and report back how they are. I've not replaced in my '04 yet but it's on my radar. Air filters.

I also ordered air filters. Do you know what part number the mount you are referring to is? Or are you just asking me to check out the bushings?

Scott, is that you? I just noticed your signature!

He's referring to the engine torque arm you have to remove to replace the plugs and coils. 955-375-101-13-M100. Just did my coils and plugs on an 05' CTT with 38k miles and replaced the torque arm after seeing that the rubber bushing was very deteriorated.

Is that the same as 955-375-101-13? Won't come up with the M100.

Looks like M100 is insignificant to the part number. I ordered the 955-375-101-13 part and it will be here Tuesday with the coils and plugs.

Thanks for the inputs.

Hi Matt. Yes, it is me. And yes, the torque arm is what I was referring to.

Replaced plugs and coil packs today, along with the torque arm. Was fairly easy and straight forward. Going to work on a write up, and I took several pictures along the way. A little longer than plugs on a traditional setup, but not at all hard.

For your SA, only two coils were cracked on the driver's side bank. All others looked good. Plugs looked great, with a minor amount of oil near the washer but no carbon or buildup of any kind at the tip. All tips were tan colored.

Definitely happy with what I saw.

Oil on the washer comes from valve cover seal. Does the car have a burned oil smell after driving? While you were there you should have changed valve seals.

I did not know to change them or I would have (see my original question). The car does not have a burning oil smell at all.

I am assuming that you are referring to the valve cover seals, correct?

Cheers,

Yes indeed. You might want to try to tighten the valve cover bolts a little.
