Coilover/Spring lowering experiences?
I have a 2008S, w/o air suspension.
Looking at lowering it a little and I see couple options. One is the lowering springs made by H&R and the other is a Konigsport Coilover System w/ Adjustable Shocks setup.
Not looking to firm the ride up too much, it's the wife's DD, but even she would like to see it lowered.
Anyone have experience with either of the two pieces I mentioned?
Thanks,
Glen

I've never been much of a fan of different springs on stock shocks. You really need the dampening to match the spring rate, otherwise it will ride like crap. So, I'd go with the koni setup.

No experience but I've been looking as well. I'd likely go with proper coilovers. Agree that dampers need to match springs.

Why not H&R springs with Bilstein 4600HD shocks. The Bilsteins will give you the additional dampening you need for the springs, without the extra cost of coil overs. Coil-overs are great for track cars so you corner weight and play with camber, but for a daily driver, I would rather have the reliability and simpleness of the Bilsteins.

I think there's a benefit of being able to adjust the dampening to really tune the suspension. Besides the H&Rs have limited lowering height, while the coilovers can go further than 2 inches.

Anyone know what the OEM brand struts were that were installed in the Cayenne's?

I recently installed Fortune Auto coilovers on my 2008 Cayenne S and after a little tweaking of the settings, am very impressed with the ride quality.
I'll be posting before and after pics soon.

MY CS is running with Eibach Springs and OEM Shocks.
Ride quality is good and handling is much better than original. Feels like a cart in the corners. Onother plus is the look. Its about 20 mm lower and looks more sporty

The limted lowering height was desirable for me. It's hard to get a true sports car feel when you're rubbing wheel wells and fenders. There's not a ton of room to lower on these cars anyways if you're using 20 inch or larger rims.

Bar none, your going to like the coilovers better. Its not possible to dial in your suspension exactly right for your intended application without preload; rebound, and compression dampening adjustments. No spring and standard shock is going to give the weight transfer, ride quality, and adjustability as a resivior shock with all the adjustments.
