I like an aggressive look....so Wheels: I am looking at 22x10...maybe 22x10.5's Tires: I think I've narrowed it down to 295x30x22 285x35x22 My goal is for a setup (wheels and tires) like this image. I don't want a bulging tire and I don't want the rim sticking out....which leads me back to the image below, its just 'right' .... Actually a best guess on those wheels and tires would be very helpful.
So what did you end up getting?

I got the Ruger Mesh 22x10.5....putting 285 x 35 x 22 tires on them. Will post pics when mounted. I think the Ruger Mesh and Wheeldynamic 808's are the same wheel....or at least that's what I've read. You do use different lug bolts with Ruger Mesh.

What ties are you planning on running? The 285x35x22 ones on tirerack didn't get favorable reviews. I am considering Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta (295x30x22) to go along with a set of Vorsteiner VSC-101 that I'll be ordering next week. The other tire that seemed to have received positive reviews are Nokian Z. Anyone have ran both of these and can comment?

I will preface this with....I am NOT a performance guy. I just like a good look....heck, I even like 'some' frankenporsches !

I really had no budget limit for tires or wheels.....while I was doing my search for wheels, I read quite a bit from the Wheel Dynamic poster. He recently went with some Accelera tires on his Cayenne and stated that he 'really' liked them....I read a few reviews and nobody really had anything bad to say, in fact, it was all good. Even the guys at need4speed were giving them high ranks. So, that's the story and if you look around you can find some outstanding deals on them.

2004 CTT with GIAC chip

Wheels: Ruger Mesh 22 x 10.5
Tires: Accelera 285 x 35 x 22 (pretty impressive tires)
Not yet lowered ! Probably shooting for 1.25 inches

Not sure if I'll black it out or not.

So I was talking to a vendor about a custom set of wheels. He pitched a staggered config to me:

Front: 22x10.5 w/ 295x30x22
Rear: 22x12 w/ 335x25x22

I hadn't thought of running something that wide on my 958 CTTS. Is this "too" wide? If I went with a 315x30x22 rear, what would I need for the front?

No idea on the answer to your question....but would research the staggered idea closely before doing so.....lots of folks say NOT to do it and there is quite a bit of discussion on it as shown in the following search.

I've gone through most of those threads. The consensus is as long as the rolling diameter is the same. There was one year where the CTTS came staggered from the factory. Don't recall which thread that was.

Nice tire size comparison / overlay if you haven't already seen it.

The more and more I think about tire size, I am leaning towards non-staggered setup running Vredstein 305x35x22. Anyone have this setup on a 958 and can confirm that there is no rubbing issue up front? Also I think I am leaning towards a set of 22" HRE P101's:

In one of those google links above there was a guy (958) that did have 305x35x22 tires on 22x10.5 rims and he said 'they cause a bit of rubbing'. I did not see a pic of the setup, but would love to see yours if you go that route !

Here is a 2013 GTS with 305x35x22's on 22x10's that states 'No rubbing'

I wonder if it is because it is a 22x10 and not a 22x10.5. Seems that the a 10.5 is recommended for a 305 width tire though.
