Tow Package Upgrade
What is all entailed, for the towing? It's only for 4-bike carrier...so I won't need the light harness. OEM or Curt - does the hitch replace the existing bumper support?

Search "cayenne tow system diy" and you will find lots of directions including the official install doc. Curt also has install instructions on their website.
Basically the bumper comes off lots of torx screws including a hidden one on each side at the top of the wheel well.
All is revealed and you are 8 bolts away. The aluminium bumper come out and the tow bar is installed in its place.
Cut the bumper with a utility knife and reinstall. Should take about 90 minutes.
The electrical.install is more time consuming buy straight forward as well.
I just installed the OEM from Suncoast. If I was just using it to carry bikes I would go with curt.
Good luck.

I have the Curt and use for carrying a Thule bike rack, works great. I am going to run some wires so I can pull my Kayak trailer as well. Very sturdy hitch and I would not have any concerns. Easy install as well.

I installed the Curt to tow my track car (996 GT3) - works great. Super easy install - about 1.5 hours and it only took that long because it was getting dark out.
