Climate Control Problem
Ok here is a weird one. Last night when I started the car my climate control was completely dead. When I opened the glove box it came to life. When I shut the glove box it died again. I think it may be a short.

No resistors in this one. Uses transistors to control speed. I know because I adapted one to use on the 928. The only connection to the Climate control is two wires for a PWM signal. Everything is otherwise connected to battery, ground directly (through a fuse, of course).

It is not a blower problem - the entire system was dead - no fan, no display, no backlight for the buttons. Looks like it must be a lose power or ground wire.

The problem is back but now the display is completely dead. If i open the glove box the fan comes on in high speed but the climate display stays dark. Looks like it is off to the dealer.

I have my trim tool set coming from Amazon today so tonight I will attempt to get the climate module out again. I'm betting a connector came loose.
