Can you pop the clutch to start a stick Cayenne
This was a question I was asking since I purchased the car. The answer is easy for an older car that doesn't have all the Electronics that manage the engine operation. But, for the Porsche, it it a requirement to start it with the key?
Well, I had the opportunity to get my answer. I accidentally stalled the car while I was turning around in a narrow driveway. The answer is yes, but there is an issue. When the engine first starts, it has a moment where the idle is high, then it comes down to idle. When you pop the clutch, the same thing happened and you have to watch it to make sure you don't loose control of the car as it tries to take off after starting.

Yep, pop the clutch and push it back in when it kicks over. With the Porsche it was like the accelerator was floored when it kicked over. Typically, I am used to most vehicle starting at their 600 RPM idle speed. I was just a little surprised when the idle kicked up, then I remembered the pre-programmed start sequence.
