Best All Season for '06 Cayenne Turbo S

Need to replace the tires on the car I'm about to purchase. I'm still of the impression that the Michelin Latitude Tour XP is the best all season for the vehicle. Any other opinions?

Have no experience with above but have been using continental extreme dws. Good wear rating no incar tire noise and didnt skip a beat on snowy icy conditions. Someone mentioned there is a better option than what I have but forgot- maybe its what you mentioned. Mike

What size wheels you plan on putting them on? I have the Conti DWS' but they don't come in 21" size so I bought a set of 20" for the AS tires.

I like Yokohama Parada Spec X in 275/40 R20

My reasons -

1) Great grip for mountain twistys.

2) 420 tread wear rating so they last like a truck tire but they ride like a summer car tire.

3) They're approx. half the price of other choices so I can shred 'em without wincing and then get a fresh set.

4) Chicks dig 'em.

Just stay away from anything that ends with "kang"

+1 on the Conti DWS.. great tire, great warranty, great price.

+1 on the Yokohama Parada Spec. Just bought some at Discount Tire. Out the door price including tax, road hazard, etc. was only ~$650. Only 500 miles so far, but I like them. The other tire I was considering was the Conti DWS, but they were 2x the price and harder to source.

+2 on the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. It's a very solid all-season tire. I'm on my second set - I actually use them as my "summer" tires. We can get snow in June where I live. I'm sure you know that any all-season tire is a compromise in all conditions. They won't excel in any conditions. Depending on your driving needs, this may be fine. It is for most people. I really need a proper winter tire from October through May, so I switch wheels and tires for the seasons.

I'm very happy with the DWS.

I like Yokohama Parada Spec X as well. Great tire and 1/2 the price. I did get 275/45 R20 (45 instead of 40). I wanted a little more sidewall, and also highly recommend this as well. I have had them on for 5k miles or so.

FWIW, Porsche doesn't recommend any A/S tire for the CTTS, nor are there any "N" spec A/S tires for same. Just summer and winter Porsche approved tires for the CTTS. Porsche does have A/S "N" spec recommendations in various sizes for other Cayenne models.

If you're not concerned about using Porsche approved tires, then I'd agree with those that have recommended the Continental DWS tire. We have thousands of miles on that tire on my wife's ML550, and they've been very, very good on the Mercedes (295/40/20).
