New tire recs for 2009 Base Cayenne?
I need recommendations for new all season tires for my 2009 base Cayenne.
I am confused by the size. On the car I have Continental 4x4 235 /65R 17. Yesterday there was a sale on Goodyear Triple Treads for $147, but according to their website the 235 65R 17 tire will not fit my cayenne? Can someone explain?
I'd also like to hear recs for replacements

Bridgestone dueler h/l alenza is affordable and there are a lot of favorable cayenne and touareg reviews for that tire on tirerack.
Btw 235/65 will fit. In the Bridgestone it's listed as 28.8" which is just slightly smaller than stock. Stock tire diameter is 29". There are a bunch of people running bigger than stock. In the case of 235/65 you can consider that stock size because it's so close.

OEM tires must be N rated. For all other tires, despite being the correct size, they will not be recommended unless they meet or exceed the load and speed ratings set by Porsche. OEM spec is 108H or greater, the Triple Treds have a load rating of 104.

Looking for new tires for my 2010 Cayenne base with 18 inch rims
The original Continental 4x4 Contacts were great but only lasted 30k, which is unacceptable.
Both are the same price. Should I keep it in the Continental family or go Pirelli? What do you guys think?
I called up tirerack and they recommended these with a 60k warranty:

I'm torn between those and these which have a 70k warranty:

Sorry, didn't realize that.
Either way, I'm debating between the Continental CrossContact LX20 with Ecoplus with 70k or the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season with 60k
By the way, what's the top speed for a base 2010 Cayenne? Wondering if I would even need the V rated tires or can I go H rated...

Contact Damon @ Tirerack.
He is on this forum regularly.
He hooked me up with a great set of tires and wheels in 2011.
I would highly recommend his service and advice.

I recently put some 255/55R18 Continental CrossContact LX Sport N0 rated on a 2006 P!G S for $190 a pop. They're pretty damn good. Good in the snow too although I do have a set of Pirelli Scorpions that I will likely put on tomorrow. They're quiet and handle well too. Considering the considerable bulk and capabilities of these beasts I'd stick with the "N" rated stuff. I have used non N rated tires on my 911's but those are only 3000# cars that I generally don't push the envelope on while driving on the street. Granted, I don't really push the envelope on the P!G either but at 5000#+ I'd err on the side of caution.
