Default High pressure fuel pump replacement 958 - DME calibration ?

Hey Guys,

It says in workshop that new hpfp needs to be calibrated in DME how important is that step ? has anyone done it without calibration ? any issues ?

It will calibrate itself as you drive. I believe the real purpose of the calibration drive is to identify any possible problems with the new pump. You essentially watch the fuel adaptation values as you drive in different speed ranges. If any of the adaptation values are too drastic, you know you have an issue.
