Hey Guys,

My wife drove for 1st time our 2011 Cayenne S... I don't think that she disabled the E Brake. Does the ebrake turn off itself automatically ? To prevent drive train damage ?

It does in my 2013. It leaves it on for a few seconds until it realizes you are being dense then turns itself off. On the few occasions I've done it, it turned off before I recognized the situation and reached down to turn it off my self.

As does my 2013. Given that the 958 Cayenne includes MY2011, I'm confident you're safe. Personally I preferred the Auto-Hold in the current generation Touareg.
