Ok. I know this is minor, but if you have nav why cant the compass display on the dash. I see it in the manual, but the options in the multi'-function are grayed out.

It's under the seat ... no, not that seat, the battery is under that seat .... the other seat, the rear seat. Where else would you expect it to be?

In my case I had the compass and installed a new PCM to replaced my failed one. Took it to the dealer as I got everything back except the rear view camera. When the dealer programmed the PCM for the rear view camera I didn't notice until later on that the Compass was lost. Dealer is 2hrs away so someday I'll have it re-activated, even though it's on my options sticker and the dealer lost it I'm sure they'll charge me at least an hours worth of labor to re-activate it.

@westy66: I have a compass display on the PCM screen. The button marked "car" will bring it up. Do you want it to display on the multifunction screen in the instrument cluster?

Yes, I was wondering why it cant display on the multi-display. Clearly the car knows my position as I can see it on the map PCM??? Just a stipid Porsche option thing I giess.

Agree. It's a software and wiring issue.

I heard that after something like '05 they were all wired for it with the flux gate and that all it took was the dealer PIWIS'ing it on, and of course charging you a pretty penny.
