Default Correct Mileage or Used Cluster??

Hi, Is there a way to check if the instrument cluster has been changed on my '06 955 S please?

Can't speak to the previous owner but the miles went from a yearly average of 9K to 27K in the last year.

So the car may have done less miles in this instance.

Thank you.

If you pull the DME report from the vehicle with a Durametric or PIWIS (at the dealer), it should give you a total hours counter. Divide the vehicle mileage by the hours to get an average mph. That number is usually in the 30-40 mph range. Anything well outside of that would be suspect.

Thank you! Haven't tried my Launch CRP123 and now probably never will. Got my excuse to invest in Durametric kit. On the off chance are the instrument clusters date stamped. I'm late '06 and might stand a good chance if a secondhand unit has been fitted it'll be off an earlier Cayenne?

Cluster will have date markings. If not on a sticker then in black plastic mounded in the shape of a clock.
