Cayenne 955 Turbo S - Rough Idle - Coil packs?
Hi all,
I have a 2006 Cayenne Turbo S which has a rough idle, it is vibrating and it feels like it is going to stall, no problem when you are driving, only when you come to a stop or when you start the car.
I have checked with Durametric and no fault codes at all, the car idles at 560 rpm, sometimes drops briefly to 520 rpm and then back to 560 rpm again. Feels to low in my opinion.
I have searched the web and it seems that a lot of people are having problems with cracked coil packs, could the rough idling I am experiencing be due to bad coil packs? Anyone had the same issues?
What is the "normal" idle speed on the Turbo S?
Thanks

Rough idle in both N and D (foot on brake)?
RPM in both N and D (foot on brake)?
When coils crack and bad, the plugs usually foul as well.
Does it do this in both humid/wet and dry/hot conditions?
Does your Turbo burn (excessive amounts of) oil?
Are you allergic to ragweed pollen?
Have you had the fuel pumps/pressure tested?

Rough idle in both N and D, seems to be about the same RPM. The same in all weather conditions...
I haven't had the fuel pumps tested but it runs great when you drive it so I don't think there is a problem with the fuel pumps.

I have that as well but not too bad, it doesn't feel like it's going to stall just noticeably rough when starting up at idle. Mine seems to go away once warmed up and I had new plugs installed recently with no change. I assume it's the pencil coils, it did throw a misfire code as well. Not so bad that I'm worried about it, I'll get to it eventually.
