Default Another PCM saga!!

I have a 2004 Cayenne with bose and nav and my headunit just died !!

I have searched through several pages in trying to decide what to replace it with as the earlier units seem more problematic than the later ones. I would love to go to a PCM3 but is seems prettly complex, almost impossible.

I have read some comments that the later PCM 2 with the phone buttons will work as long as it is a bose-for-bose unit. Aside from dealer resetting
certain options.

Are the phone buttons on the later units a working bluetooth system or does it require an added module?

Any input will be greatly appriciated.

David

On the PCM 2 the phone buttons are for making calls from the unit or through the stalk on the steering column.....it does not have bluetooth connectivity.

You have to add another third party system to get BT but if you get the right one the buttons work
