Market pricing for 2006 TTS
So I'm curious what the correct price for one of these is say with 70-90k miles well cared for in good condition.
Thanks,
Phil

Depends how you're shopping. If you find a clean one with 70K freeway miles. a conscientious owner who's maintained it well with records showing that, and that the typical V8 issues have been corrected, and it does well in a comprehensive PPI, forget the book values and pay a premium for what will likely be a very fantastic ride for a long time. If its a tired looking 90K mile TTS with no records on a used car lot, offer well below low KBB; better yet...walk away.

Good luck with low 20's for a decent turbo s. More like high 20's to low 30's for nice specimens. Maybe a deal to be found at $25k.. But not a great specimen. There is that repainted one in Portland for $23.5k that nobody has wanted to touch for 6 months on Craigslist.

No records is a big deal. I'm really surprised my car hasn't found the right buyer yet, but I assume it's mainly because I have a rare color combination which I consider the most beautiful on any car, but that's just me. If I weren't in the minority, my car wouldn't be either. There isn't another burgundy over tan on the market. There's a burgundy over (ugh) granite which boggles my mind. What a clash. But clearly not everyone wants my color combo. I smile every time I see it, sit in it or drive it. If I have it much longer it may lose it's garage space, but I have no problem hanging onto it.

I'd actually love constructive criticism on my ad. Despite the numbers being thrown around here, the vast majority of the '06 TTS's available are listed in the mid $30k's and I'm right in there with a car that shows better than any of the rest, high gloss, buffed finish, near perfect interior. I'm getting very few nibbles. If it's just the price, or the color combo, nothing I can do about that. But is there anything else you all see in the ad that would turn off buyers?

I think you should take away the (obo) and make the price $36,500. You are closer to the market that way and the (obo) comes across somewhat needy or something. I have heard ending in 500 denominations is good for some reason. Second some of the pictures are a little over-exposed. You also dont mention maintenance records. I personally LOVE that color combo.. that rosewood with full leather caramel leather is tops! Also perhaps a photoshoot at some place more architectural or picturesque would help.

What he said re: better photos. Try to photograph it on an overcast day to bring out the richness of that Carmon Red.
Your color combo is what got me into my first P!G back in '05. I refused to have it in any other color but that one. Just too bad that 958s have such sh!tty color selection.
