PCM 3.0 Upgrade to 3.1 Ver. 1.4

Just checked with Sun Coast parts on upgrading my PCM 3.0 to the 2012 PCM 3.1 Version 1.4. Their cost is $325.00. Has anyone done this and was it worth it? I use my Andriod phone for GPS directions and my PCM as a back-up. On a recent trip to Atlantic City my Android gave me consistenly better directions.

If that's the same version I have (2013 just before the HDD version of PCM) then I'd say it's not worth it as the navigation sucks. When I needed to go to the opposite side of DC it really didn't want me to be on the beltway and kept trying to get me to turn off it at every exit. At one point I could see that it wanted me to get off the beltway for a few miles and then get back on it again. It also seems to have something against the toll road too even though I have all those preferences disabled.

I'll try to remember to check my PCM on the way home tonight to make sure I have the same version you are talking about.

I say put the money to something more useful...

Thanks, that's what I thought. If you have a 2013 it should be the 2012 version. My PCM like yours always wants to take me off the freeway/s and away from the toll roads. At this point it's just a reference guide, I wouldn't use/trust it for accurate directions.

Hmm. The only version info I can find (info -> option -> system version) is 3.41 on mine. Its still a POS though ;)
