Gawd YES.

If the machine has been maintained well and not abusively driven, then $25k is the deal of the century.

Dealer is asking $27,500.
I am concerned there aren't many 2006 - 2008 Cayenne Turbo S available for sale within 100 miles of me. at least not below $35K
Your thoughts? since you are experts and have probably sold some of this in the past.
For 955s 2006 was the only year of the Turbo S.

For 957 2009/10 had Turbo S

Considering that a regular turbo was around 100k base, and a Turbo S was 25k or so more for not much more for the 25k, I can't imagine a lot where sold

Default 2006 Cayenne Turbo S

First year of the Cayenne turbo S was 2006 so it feels like a collectors' item. I like that..It is not very often one is making a great deal of a Car dealer so thanks to everyone for your comments. Excited and can't till tomorrow. I'll post pics once it's done. Thanks.

That and, IIRC, only 600 were made world wide.

The 3 year warranty separately costs about $4500 and includes coverages for the engine, transmission/transaxle/transfer case (clutch assemblies and all component parts are not covered), drive axle, and additional hybrid/plug-in electric/compressed natural gas components. Does not cover Steering, Brakes, Air Conditioning, Suspension, and Electrical.

Courtesy of Rennlist and thanks to you, i am getting a ppi done. The dealer has also confirmed the following:
1. Tires – just replaced
2. Brakes – just replaced
3. Coolant pipes – checked out
4. Cardan shaft –in good order. Test drove and car was pretty steady and was not all over the place.

5. Rear Hatch Shocks – yet to check
6. Starter - yet to check
7. Torque Converter seal - yet to check
8. New ignition coils - yet to check
9. PWIS Headlight - I read from another 2005 owner that sensors may require adjusting. Is this common?

Questions:
• Is this a reasonable offer for a 2006 Cayenne Turbo S?
• What other items should I look out for?
• Are the extended warranty coverages adequate for this car?

I am moving from a 2008 Range Rover Sport that only required the oil change, brake and tire replacements so I am concerned and doing all due diligence.

Thanks advance for your advice, much appreciated indeed.
I bought a one owner 05 CTT (all Porsche dealer serviced) in NYC a few months ago. It had 33k miles and I paid about what the dealer is asking for yours. I thought it was a steal, but I have seen very few 955s with such low mileage for sale.

Agreed - I paid less, but mine had 108k on her - for the miles, he's getting a great price.

wow, so i'm not the only one who burns oil in an '06 Turbo S? I go about 1000-1500 miles between quarts. I have over 180,000 miles, but it doesn't seem to burn any more now than 100,000 miles ago.

All turbos use oil. Don't sweat it.

I just wanted to post an update to this thread.

Purchased 2/2013 - 108k miles.

Today 3/2017 - 148k miles

Besides routine maintainance, I've had to replace two things:

1. Carden Shaft - shortly after delivery
2. Plastic Coolant Pipes

I have opted to do the following:

EVOMS Cayenne TT/TTS V-Flow Intake System
DV18 Diverter Valve EVOMS Cayenne TT/TTS (Only)
Fabspeed Secondary Catbypass Pipes Cayenne S/GTS/TT/TTS 955
IPD 76mm Plenum 955 Cayenne Turbo/TurboS
955 Cayenne Twin Turbo S 4.5L V8 (03-06) EVOMSit Intelligent Tuning
High Performance Cats

Needless to say I cannot be happier with the Cayenne. With all the upgrades she screams - holds the boost like crazy and pulls on almost anything I've come up to on the road.

Thanks,
Erik

Thanks for the update. 40k trouble-free miles is a testament to the build quality of the Cayenne, especially at over 100k!

Cheers,

If the cardan shaft is "new to you" then you didn't read a word of this forum before buying yours Do the Jimi Fix and sleep soundly [assuming the bearing is still good]
