I have an 04 with PCM2.0 and a CDR23 radio with Bose, no Nav. I recently purchased a PCM2.1 CDR24 not knowing the amount of work needed to get it to work. Thinking it was just a simple plug it, I installed it and it just played a cd with only the volume control working, nothing else. It was also giving a GPS error in german.

Is there a way to save my purchase? I dont need the GPS, just give me a radio and CD and i will be fine

PCM 2.1 units use a DVD drive for the navigation system that's installed under the passenger's front seat. You'll need that, as well as a GPS antenna in order to have functional GPS. I'm not sure what to tell you on the radio and CD. If the PCM unit was originally in a Bose equipped car and yours is not Bose, then perhaps that's part of the issue...
