The only 999 for 2003 is the Ducati.
Ironically, Ducati too, made a step backwards in aesthetics and a leap forward in functionality this year -- both marques gave up history and "mystique" in the process.
I guess you could say Porsche reached "the beginning of the end" with the 996. Who knows. Maybe next year they'll bring out the Porsche mini-van or the Porsche 2005 model 356 "Classic" (just as BMW has abused the Leyland Mini and Cooper, just as numerous other manufacturers have, for simple lack of one new and genuinely innovative thought, pillaged historic classics just to scrape up short term revenues on "retro" visits to vehicles they can not hope to genuinely recreate.
