Considering a group order on an accessory for proud new Cayenne owners.
If there is enough interest, I will have special license plate frames made that read:
"My other car is related to a Touareg"
M in C

Hi Anir
I like that... how about:
"All the parts you can't see are VW"
Drove thru Indy today, and could see the Pagoda from I-65 and thought of you and the rest of the Ray Calvo Fan Club.
Thanks again for bringing the "medical" supplies, Doc.
(Sorry for teh OT everyone else, but we rennlisters are a sentimental sort.
Happy New Year
Mike

If Porsche marketing is right, the C is aimed at people who already have a Porsche.... you're gonna sell 25,000 a year.

You're very welcome, Mike. Seemed like the right "prescription".
Happy New Year to all!

Anir,
Yours should read:
"I'm just another arrogant 911 driver"
Rest assured, your car shares components with VW as well, and anyway who the heck cares? You guys obviously fit the 911 image crowd and you will never change. Almost makes me want to go out and buy a Corvette.

Mike,
How about some bumper stickers while you're at it...
"They told me I was helping save Porsche"
"I spent my kids college funds"
"If you can read this then I must not be driving 165"
"Porsche is a one syllable name"
"Who needs racing?"
"I love accountants"
"Save the planet"
And of course...
"My other car IS a Porsche"

Very, very clever.
I particularly like "If you can read this...
We weren't currently looking for additional copywriters, but after seeing your work...

Sorry, but I don't see any arrogance in what Anir posted.
If you do a little search on his posts on the 993 board, I don't think you'll find any arrogance whatsoever. Probably just the opposite. He's a very well respected member.
We both are finding the humor in a very controversial effort by PAG.
Hey, the Bengals suck as badly as the Bears. We need to laugh.

John,
I'm sorry I offended you. Mike and I were just playing around. It's a bit worrisome to me that some Porsche owners around here take things so seriously. For heaven's sake, they are only cars - cool ones, but nothing more.
If you read my previous posts, you will see that I don't have a problem with Porsche making the Cayenne. Hell, if I minded hodge-podge cars made up of components from several different manufacturers, I certainly couldn't own the new Range Rover (part-BMW, part-British, owned by Ford).
BTW, I've read about 4 books on the Porsche 356 over the past two years, and hope to buy a nice A coupe or maybe a Convertible D. So, obviously, I've got no problem with owning a VW. I've also been hoping to get an older 968 or 928, so I'm pretty sure that I'm not hung up on 911's. I can only hope that the other "911 image" folks will still hang out with me once I've strayed from the one true path (wink-wink).
Have a Happy New Year, and try to lighten up. Since you live just around the corner, you might even consider joining Mike and I at Mid Ohio or Putnam (or maybe the Indy GP - site of official meetings of the Ray Calvo Fan Club) sometime to see if we are really stuck up. If you decide to buy that Vette, you will likely be spanking me on the track. I've been singularly impressed with the abilities of the Z06 - what a car.
Mike and mpm, I saw another great bumper sticker the other day:
"A bad day fishing beats a good day at work."

For the air cooled 911 owners:
"Yes, it IS a modified VW"
"My VW can kick your VW's ***"
For the 996 owners:
"This is NOT a Boxster"
For the 924/944 owners:
"I love my Audi"
for the 356/914/911 owners"
"I love my Volkswagen"
Let the flames begin.
