Porsche Entry & _____?
I was told by the dealer that the Kevlar key had to be in the ignition in order for the Entry and Drive to work. However this afternoon I took it out since I was parking in the County lot and the Entry worked but obviously without the drive. Does anybody else's work this way?
I am still unable to get button on the key to work?

Yes - the "insert" must be in the ignition - it's plastic, BTW - the Kevlar option is another $200.00 (sorry, bad joke) - for the ignition to work, but the "entry" will still operate. You must have the "regular" key in the ignition and have it "on" while setting your desired open functions - otherwise the new settings will not "take".

Dawktah,
So you finally got the TT - congratulations! As was previously posted, entry part works without the key being in. Again, as was previously posted, in order for the computer to "remember" changes to the locking/unlocking features, the car has to be manually locked with the key you leave in your pocket. Unfortunately, the manual makes no mention of this and has caused many moments of frustration (ME included) with many Cayenne owners. Good luck with the Cayenne.
