Installed LED DRL
from Phillips. Really nice but I need to know where to tap into a positive and ground(that one is easy) in the engine compartment. I know about the posts for charging and jumping but it doesn't lend itself to wiring there.
any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Here is the pic of the package. Will grab pics of the car shortly.
Super easy install. Figured out the wiring with help from co workers.

or you can also zoom in/out the hard way.
Works great with other applications as well... i.e. Excel, etc.

Good Lord those are big pics. Sorry. I shot them with my iphone and loaded them from the iphone.
Anyway. Install is fairly straight forward and I am not adept at this sort of thing.
I used 3M mounting tape(Spongy double sided super sticky stuff specifically designed for car applications) both on top and underneath the light. The light happens to fit almost perfectly between the slits.
One light comes with a 9 foot lead the other with a 6 foot.
Steps I took were as follows:
Remove both headlights
Put the wire through the grill slits and fish them up towards the top of the engine using a wire hanger
Work the wire from the passenger side towards your driver side.( I zippy tied the wire to my intake but you could easily just leave the wire in the grill and run it to the drivers side)
Put 3M tape on both top and bottom of the light and place them where you want them
From an electrical connection perspective:
This Phillips unit comes with a quick connect system for the lights that atttach to a control box.. Attach the light connections to the box connectors.
The control box has 3 wires. A positive(red), Ground (Black) and an orange one.
For the Power I used a fuse tap(got it at Pep Boys in their electrical section) and tapped right into the fuse box in the engine compartment. This is incredibly easy to do.
For the ground I just unscrewed a small bolt that was near the fuse box that was holding together two pieces of metal.
For the orange wire: The kit comes with one of those quick connect wire clips. There is no splicing. You just put the orange wire in the clip and connect it to another wire and close the clip.
The wire that the orange wire connects to is part of the headlight plug that is mounted in the car that the headlight mounts into. I used the 3rd wire from the left on the top row of wires.
Then I just zippy tied (using heavy duty wire holders) the small connector box inside the hole where the headlight mounts.
This sounds way more complicated than it really is. It's literally 20 minutes start to finish. The really cool thing is the lights come on as soon as I put the key in the ignition. They shut off about 3-5 seconds after the car is shut off.
I will take pics of my wiring and mounting later
The difference between this kit and all the others is that little black box. IT allows the lights to work properly. There is no on/ off switch or anything like that. It works like OEM. I wish they were just a little longer.

Caesar inspired me on this one! My take was to use 2 units per side and I used black silicon mastic to "glue" them in
As Caesar said, the Philips ones are very good quality, glass not plastic, and the control box is a clever bit of kit which makes it all work automactically
