Post I think I just bought a Cayenne Turbo :)

Talking to a dealer now, $89,000 for a 03 Turbo. ($7,060 off list). Yeehaw.

Sounds like a pretty fair deal.

You might consider getting an '04 -- they're available already and it will help with resale value.

Make sure you sweeten the deal with discounts in the parts department and off Tequipment stuff -- 15% is normal, maybe they'll do better.

What's the colours and spec?
$96K list, I guess that has pcm, entry & drive, park-distance and maybe some other gadgets like a tow-bar or whatever.

I'm starting to think the Turbo is the better value in a variety of aspects: it's more exclusive, which translates into retained value; it has the air suspension standard, which I think is mandatory for the car; it will be easy to tweak for extra go-fast; it looks better in my humble from the front and back; plus, heck, check those giant red brake calipers?! Are they straight off a Le Mans car or what?!

Its metallic Basalt Black, Beige interior, options are 20" wheels, Electric Comfort Package w/ Sport seats, Trailer Hitch, Colored wheel crests, Sunroof, Porsche entry/drive, light wood & 6 disc changer. Of course almost everything else is standard on the turbo.

Looks like its a done deal, will pick it up on Friday. The '04s are coming soon but currently non-negotiable. I figured buying an 03 at $7k off would counter the 04 difference, at least in my mind. The Turbo's are going to be a lot less negotiable than the S's due to the 9:1 ratio of S:Turbo.

Hey Robert, give your tuner guy my name and email semandell@aol.com. 450hp is way too little HP! ;-)

Sounds like a great deal and I think you're probably right that you're starting $7K better off and that will defray most of the difference between '03 and '04 cars ... plus, you're getting the usefulness out of the car now.

Nicely equipped too -- wheels, seats, the novelty of entry-and-drive -- all good stuff.

Sports seats -- I've only seen one photo (what's the trick to turn on html in these posts and embed images? ... I'll post the photo I have ...) but I'd like to see yours. I think this is a killer feature for the Turbo.

Any thought to modifications (functional or cosmetic?)

Cheers,

I will post pics when I get it -- pick it up on Friday. First mods are clear sidemarkers and maybe these:
