Default advice on lowering links

hi guys
was looking for advice on using lowering links to lower the vehicle.

1. What the recommended lowering amount which will not kill the ride quality by too much

2. Any huge difference in ride quality when lowered with links vs software?

3. recommended vendor to purchase links?

thanks

I do not have the links, but have lowered my 04TT about 10mm with the dura metric. The dura metric is such a valuable tool; put the money towards it instead of the links.

I have read some accounts of people being unhappy with the ride quality after putting on lowering links. I'm assuming the lower you go and the bigger your wheels the less comfortable it will be.

+1 on the durametric. That was my solution as well.

It took me a little bit to figure it out... but when I was in the low setting (the mark below "normal", above loading) the responsiveness of the steering was much less. It dawned on me that the car was behaving as though it was at speed (when it would lower automatically) and so it wouldn't steer as actively, but slower. So by reseting what is "normal" I get the ride height I like, with the responsiveness I want as well.

There are concerns about using the software to go "too far" so be aware of that.

Old post but adding - I just purchased the lowering link on my 09 TTS. I also have 22 inch wheels and want to add some small spacers and lower this thing down. Durametric would be better since I'd LOVE to have this site really low when parking at shows in load-mode, but during driving have some room. I know the links alone wont do this but i'll try as best as I can and post pictures once completed.

My questions is about the links themselves, although straightforward install, getting all 4 corners accurately could be tricky so my mechanic is going to use a micron to ensure they are all equal before installing. I just dont want tire rub, i'm not tracking this thing or taking turns at high speeds, but you never know.

Honestly, how much different was the ride quality with bringing it down 2 inches?

Post up some pics when done. I also have an 09 TTS but not lowered. I've had my links for a few years now and I probably should just sell them as I don't think I'm going to lower her.
