For anyone planning to swap their tranny fluid

Found this link to what seems to be a great price on Mobil 3309 by the 12qt case.

And here is a link to the Mobil website with info on the 3309 ATF fluid.

Tranny? You need to talk to Divot. He's the tranny expert here...

Trying to cut back on swapping fluids with trannies...

Oh wait, that's not what you meant?

If checking tranny fluid car needs to be at idle speed and neutral - fluid temp 40C (or driving for about 10 minutes I was told). I did not know this and worked with engine off. Almost a huge mess luckily I had large container right under. A not easily found (or often overlooked) info needed for other dummies like me.

Yea, you need to fill the pan with the engine off, then start the car and start refilling immediately (tranny picks up oil and starts distributing it so the pan level decreases). Keep filling and when it starts to come out stop and insert plug (if the temp is approx 40'C) or let it drip until the temp reaches 40'C then reinsert the plug.
