Gotta love Iceland Silver metallic.. the car is filthy in some of those shots - and it never looks it. I did wash off the major bug deposits a few times, but it basically has made it all the way home from LA without getting washed. Gonna take care of that tomorrow..

wow, nice trip & writeup. one day, I want to do the same (well, C2C will be enough for me).
one of the pics is driving to see Hollywood sign I bet think I also saw the lighthouse, reminds me of a place near Carmel or Monterey or something similar off hwy 1...

Thanks.. The two photos in LA are of Palos Verdes and the lighthouse there. It's where the CA coast sticks out below LA. This is a $$$$ community that makes Beverly Hills look very tacky. It's south of most of the small beach communities, and makes for a nice drive along the ocean, ending up back in LA (LA kinda snakes around all the small communities that decided not to become part of the city..)
