Check Hitch Light
I just purchased a "new to me" 03 Cayenne S that came with its very own onboard fault.
On start-up, it says "Check Hitch." Well I am not towing anything but it does have a hitch with a plastic Porsche cover on it. Frankly I do not plan to tow anything, so I really do not care about repairing this problem (if indeed it really is an issue). How do I remove this warning? Would an OBDII tool erase this fault? Can I pull a circuit breaker to get rid of this? Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Do you have the options list or options code from the sticker?
Does it say 1D6 anywhere on it?
By plastic cover, do you mean the black plastic cover on the 2" receiver or the black square cover under the bumper where the trailer would plug into?
