The Coopers on the Toureg are 275/45-20 Zeons, the same I have on my RRS.

If we could get the Grabber ATs in the States, they would be on my truck. They have gotten great reviews on the UK Land Rover boards. They are also available in a 275/45-20. It kills me that a "US" tire company does not offer its best product in the US........

Snapped a couple of comparison shots today sitting next to a steel spring S in a parking lot.

My CTT is in the first setting above the normal ride height. It will stay in this setting up to 50mph which is 95% of my around town driving so it jut ends up staying there.

How have the big tires affected your fuel economy? I love the way that looks so much.. but curious about the affect of the extra diameter and unsprung weight. Also how has it changed high speed cornering?

I haven't noticed a significant difference in handling, but keep in mind that these are my "winter" tires and I wasn't exactly shredding corners with my snow tires either. The both stick within the limits of what you would the way you would be driving for the road conditions.

As for fuel economy I haven't run a full tank through it yet. The big thing to remember is that the larger diameter tire will travel further than the odometer picks up, thus giving an illusion of increased fuel usage right off the bat. But... the tires will also allow the car to run at a slightly lower rpm at highway speeds which may or may not effect fuel use positively, depending on that particular car.

Since the transyberia model has larger diameter tires stock... i wonder if the ecu is smart enough to correct the odo..?

I it may be different for the years after the Transsyberia cars but for my 04 Turbo...235/60/18 is the largest tire size choice available in the computer settings.

Here is the actual calculated difference.

Cole,
How do you like the BFG tires so far? I am about to get my rims powder coated and will most likely using the same tires.
Thanks.

They are tight when turning, but clear at the normal height setting. Just graze the fender liner on the turbo at the low setting(turning, clear fine straight)

The contact on the low setting is literally just a super light dusting type contact. It would also be very early to just trim out the fender liner for an even bigger tire.

Just got a regular 2005 Cayenne S with no air suspension. Asking the tire guru's for some advise on these three tires. The BF Goodrich is 31.7 inches while the Mickeys and Duratracs are 30.5 which would probably clear the light rubbing.

Fwiw, my BFGs have never rubbed, even at the lowest drivable setting.

So they should clear with the steel spring suspension

Thanks Cole. I don't have air suspension that's why I was worried of any small rubbing. I think I would also like a small leeway of extra space if I am going off roading. So that if I bottomed out a ditch, it would be nice to have extra space. I really like the BF Goodrich AT and it looks really badass. Nice set up, by the way.
