Key fob problem URGENT PLEASE HELP

So my key fob stopped working... it won't unlock the doors. I changed the battery and still won't work. Can I open the car with the key manually? will the alarm go off if I open the door? any other ideas? My wallet is locked inside the car and I cant get to it.

If it's a 2011, you have a spare key in your key fob. Go to the drivers door handle and remove the handle cover. Then use your manual key to unlock the door

when you open the car without the battery immeditaly put it in the ignition to disable the alarm

Rather than make a new thread I thought I would post here..

So a month ago my keyfob had stopped locking and unlocking doors. I was fryed about it. Then I discovered if I pressed REALLY hard it would work. Then recently I dropped the key fob on the ground and it stopped working completely. So i took it apart and discovered the tiny little button soldiered to the circuit board had come loose. I re-soldiered the little guy back on and voila key fob works perfectly again. Sorry i didnt take a picture of the side the button goes on. I didnt think to document until later.. had sent this picture to my wife to complain. I think i put the spring in wrong though because it doesnt flick the key out quite right.. but too lazy right now to open it up again.

Ok a member pm'd me re: how to get it open so here are some photos that may help. Also a note when putting the spring back make sure to get the spring ends in the notches and twist the blade the opposite direction of how it comes out to pre-load it. Otherwise it wont spring out when you press the button.

The key in the photo is pre 2011, the forum member who needs help has a 2011, the key is completely different.

I dont see how that matters considering the original thread was from 3 years ago. I am just trying to help future people. And it was the second poster who mentioned 2011. I think its nicer to have less threads than more IMO.
