Default CD changer

So my CD player/changer was working fine on Thursday, and when I took the cayenne out on Friday, it stopped working. It could not read any of the 5 discs in it, it says error for each one, and that the medium is not readable (whatever that means). Now, I have restarted the car, I have taken the discs out and put them back in, and I do not know what else to do. I am wondering if y'all know what else I can do or if I need to go to the dealership and have them look at it. (I am still new to the car, so if I don't know something to do that should be obvious, I am sorry).

Yes, it sounds as though the mech in the CDC has expired....MOST interface seems OK, optical mech not so OK.
Simple warranty replacement at your dealer.

Stupid question of the day. Are your CD's originals or recorded?
My CD player is fussy when it comes to playing recorded CD's. Sometimes it will play them and other times, it will not.

Three of them are original. I guess by recorded you mean burned from the computer or whatever else you can use to burn CD's? The other two are; and the thing is, it can't read any of them, whether it be recorded or original.
