Also need to remove the two fuel lines! put back together and start car with covers still off to check for fuel leaks. Can be done in 30 min but it is a knuckle buster not alot of room in there!
ordered the part and while at the counter a tech over heard i ordering a HPFP, he mentioned that the new pump needs to be calibrated through the DME. I never heard that before, is this true or BS?

what's going on with Porsche, even though you're under warranty this is not acceptable...I heard there's a TSB for the fuel pumps in the 09 peppers from the parts guy I spoke to.

The pump will calibrate itself after 5 mins of driving! Does it very fast just take it easy on the gas and drive normal at first! It should start right up and idle normal if that was the problem!

There is a definitely a TSB for the fuel pumps in the '09 Peppers; mine just got replaced a couple of weeks ago, and the dealership confirmed the existence of the TSB.

Count me in as yet another victim of the 'virus-laden' fuel pumps.

Brought the GTS in this morning for replacement of the water-ingested horns and a seatbelt buckle housing that disintegrated when my wife put on her belt a month ago. Dealer called and told me that my VIN was within the affected range for the pump.

Maybe my fuel economy will now improve?

One more for the list my S has only 6kmiles.... .. the high preasure first...expecting the low preasure pump now, fuel pumps are in backorder...does any one also have problems with the Bose system? mine records 6500 errors and it`s not enought for Porsche to change it even tought I`m under warranty, they ask for another protocol test.
