Default Four Zone vs Two Zone Climate Controls

How can I tell which climate control system I have? I'm about to order an OEM rubber cargo mat and apparently there's a difference between the two different types of mat designs.

Well, first off there will be a second set of climate controls in the console for the rear passengers.

(4 zone is so that all four passengers can change their own settings, 2 zone is just the front).

There will also be a big intake vent in the left rear cargo area panel in a 4 zone car.

I ordered the mat from Weather Tech and have the four zone a/c. You have to trim away the area on the left side of the tray and once complete it looks great. Good color match with the sand beige.

I saw those, they definitely have a clean look to them. I went ahead and ordered an OEM mat (Part# 955-044-000-15) because it has the high sided protection, and will look good with my dark interior....

Jay, if you frequently lay your rear seats down to accomodate long items in the cargo area, this high-sided mat may become an issue for you.

Funny. I was just talking to a guy the other day at a Porsche event about this. He has the big liner like that. Said with the seats down it simply slides all the way forward to protect the doors/back of front seats etc. Sounds pretty handy actually.

By day, I visit construction projects and haul boots, laptop, hard hat, and misc items that dirty up the cargo area. It may be worth the hastle of having to remove the liner every once in a while. btw, thanks for mentioning this, I'll be starting a new thread in the next day or two about the durability of the rear leather and laying down seats.

Jay, I can see you hauling around trunkloads of crushed stone and earth (less the bags of course) from site to site!!

Don't let your boss find out that you bought a liner!

Having a round of bad luck with ordering things for the P!g lately....here's an email I received regarding the OEM liner I ordered yesterday.

"Jason: Thank you for your order for the High-sided Cargo Liner. As always the website is designed to provide the most accurate shipping cost as possible. Shipping in most cases is based on weight. There are times though when UPS does not calculate cost by physical weight but by dimensional weight. Bumper covers and large sheet metal and some other items will fall into this category along with the item ordered. Based on UPS dimensional weight calculation the actual freight charge to ship this item would be $298.75. Would you like to continue with the order?"

$300 for shipping?! lol. Wonder what the weight is on this thing.

Edit: Just got off the phone with Porsche North Scottsdale parts department, looks like they can get me the liner for $190 with no shipping charges. Sold.

I can understand a logical extra charge for an oversize parcel but $300? Typical eBay sellers looking to catch a mouse by it's tail....
