Does 2008 PCM fit into 2005 Cayenne Turbo?
My 2005 CTT PCM head unit needs to be replaced. There is a PCM head unit from a 2008 CTT available.
Is this a plug and play installation? Thanks in advance.

I am not sure if that is the seller, and he does not appear to be selling the unit but installing it.
In either case, the 2005 PCM is DVD based, versus 2004 which is CD driven which are not inter-changeable without modification.
My question remains, whether a 2008 PCM fits into a 2005.

As has been mentioned, PCM2.x was either CD or DVD based, depending on when they ran out of CD and switched to DVD on the production line.
PCM3.x is a new design, touchscreen interface, yadayada...
So, are the selling the 2008 PCM as having a touchscreen interface?
(BTW, using MY to discuss options is a bit tricky, since sometimes US and RoW options appear in different MYs)
If so, then it is NOT a direct "plug and play" to install a PCM3.x into a PCM2.x vehicle....for several reasons.
There was only one person I know who actually could have done it, but he's dead and I'm not visiting his grave anytime soon.
In any case, it is likely that when 'upgrading' your PCM, a trip to the dealer will be required in order get everything on the MOST ring brought up to the correct S/W revision/level.

I am selling a pcm2.0 on ebay right now. I think it is from an 05

I went to install it in my 06 that didn't have NAVI. It needed a cable that went to the rear wing. what a pain in the butt. I decided to buy a Garmin Nuvi.
