Bursting bottle of red wine changes the interior of the Cayenne a bit...
Fortunately it was in the cargo area. My wife was driving home from the liquor store after buying wine for a large group of guests. It wasn't expensive wine - it was actually a double sized bottle. She's not sure what caused it... the bottles were rattling against each other as she drove, but not that hard.
She took the Cayenne in and had it detailed, and had the stain treated and somewhat removed. Now the car smells like chemicals. I hope that goes away...

If you have a garage to park in you can leave the windows down and hatch up to air it out, should get the smell out

We actually took it up to a body shop owned by a friend of ours. He has a pretty high tech machine that took the stain almost entirely out. The chemical smell is all that remains. The car is airing out now.

Sorry to hear about that Dennis but it sounds like you've got most of it resolved. Suggestion for the future, I have one of those foldable cargo holders I keep in both the Pepper and the M3. It works especially great bringing dog food cans and juice bottles home. My wife buys the wine and liquor by the case, so that's not too much of a problem.......
This is the closest I've found to mine so far, I think I paid less than $40 for mine.

Good suggestions on the forum and the rubber cargo mat.
Interestingly she dropped a bottle of wine on the garage floor the previous week, and it didn't break. This one broke just banging against the one next to it. Go figure...

Saint Bernard tested and approved tailgate cargo protectors/mats...you don't want to know about Saint Bernard accidents in the tailgate, trust me.

Vinegar does sound bad.
A friend of mine has young kids, and one of his younger sons poured a cup of milk into one of the air vents on the dash in his car. Fortunately, it wasn't a P-car. It smelled like sour milk for months.

Try cutting an apple in half and leaving it in the car overnight with the windows closed. It will soak up any smells. Used it often when I used to smoke cigars, never failed me. Good luck.
