Bursting bottle of red wine changes the interior of the Cayenne a bit...

After a very bad night, I couldn't get the window in my E class open fast enough (never got used to the window buttons on the console) and hurled against the window. Got a lot in the vents. That never went completely away. In the summer, I got to relive the experience daily.

You can neutralize the smell of vinegar with the same stuff you use to remove the smell of cat urine. It is essentially a Protein that binds to the urine molecule. The funny thing about the stuff is it is the exact same stuff they use in chrime scene cleanup!

I actually tried REGURU's suggestion with the apple. It made a difference! The Cayenne almost smells like it did before... hardly any additional chemical smell.

Took five coffee filters and used FRESH (not used) ground coffee ( I like french vanilla) and tied the filters closed with twist ties, threw them in the same area of the car as the viniger bags.
Filled ash tray with fresh baking soda.
Ran the car on re-circ on high fan for 30 minutes.
Went to home depot and got a can of zep's smoke out for removing odors, yeah it says smoke but works on other particles that smell.
Put car NOT in re-circ, fans on high, sprayed into the intakes of the air system, then holding my breath went in car and turned on re-circ and left heat on high, fans on high.
Opened car windows with fans running to clear out the chemicals.
Drove around for a few weeks with the vinegar, baking powder and coffee ground.
Remove, and for about a month afterwords smells like french vanilla coffee, and then starts smelling like a clean used car.
Works on all cars I have bought in the past that smelled like "previous use!"

In the past this is what I have done, get five baggies and place a paper towel soaked in vinger in each one and placed them open in each footwell and the trunk, preferably by vents.
