06 Turbo S Laser Interceptor install
I just finished the Laser Interceptor Quad install with much help from my buddy Ehrin. It’s on my 06 Cayenne Turbo S. We cut the front grill to accommodate the jammers in a stealthy manner and painted them silver to match. The rears are mounted to the license plate screw holes with a custom bracket made by Ehrin and using longer screws.
The On/Off switch is mounted on the left side panel near right leg when sitting.
I will have the system tested in the next month or so.

Very nice install. I hope it works. Laser is very tough to beat.

Actually not really tough at all if properly installed and a good system. I've had nothing but success in defeating laser with an LI system on my 997. In fact I had a friend test with 4 different police laser guns and he was unable to get a reading front or rear with multiple passes. Two real world tests also confirmed a good valid test.
Lots of info on this at the Guysoflidar.com site
If you are referring to defeating laser in the Cayenne. We shall soon see. I will test this particular setup soon but suspect I will do well in the front with possible PT on the corners in the rear.

Three Wheelin'
I've got the full K40 front & rear radar with front laser in my '06 Cayenne Tubro S but I think the K40 is garbage, at least for radar, never had the laser tested. I've remounted the front radar reciever hoping to get improved detection as the rear seems to work better. Both my Valentine and Escort 9500CI work much better on radar than the K40 at a fraction of the price.

What's the short answer to the law on these? You can run up to two or three corners, but not all four, in the states that don't outlaw it?
And +1 on your actual live-run procedure. Do you just slow down to what you're actually transmitting, then switch it off as you coast by? Ever just mess with the cops, switching it on and off: 95/72/90/72/85/72...

Scroll down a bit on this page to see the types of LIDAR (article is from 2008).

I wouldn't mess with the cops unless you want to give them a reason to stop you.
