Cayenne/Panamera to be axed?
Report that VAG sees no future for Panamera and Cayenne. See REPORT HERE.
Excerpt:
"... "VW Group has plenty of SUVs and saloons [sedans] -- it doesn't need Porsche to build them," says the story, which should be music to the ears of Porsche faithful and critics who insist the tiny sports-carmaker did potentially irreparable harm to its brand by pasting the Porsche badge onto heavyweight off-roaders and sedans. ..."

I guess we'll see what we shall see. I just read another article a couple of days ago that said Porsche would be adding several additional models under the VW leadership.

This could be a trial balloon. It's odd (or even stupid) to announce such plans right at the Panamera launch.

Yes, note that there's not a single authoritative source quoted in that article in the British mag. Meanwhile, the CEO of VAG is publicly stating his goal is to DOUBLE Porsche sales within the next four years: http://www.motorauthority.com/blog/1...ext-four-years
They sure won't double sales by cutting the Cayenne! It sounds like they may add a Porsche version of the Audi Q5, however.
