SURFS UP!
Surf is up and I am trying to find the best surfboard transport system that makes use of the existing Cayenne Roof Rails(not racks). Any suggestions?

you can use the oem crossbar that attached to the existing rail..
then buy the sufboard carrier... |
the OEM pieces should run you about 400 bucks just put some pads on them and some bungies

Agree with all said with the exception of using the OEM surfboard carrier or rubber bungy straps, which stretch - not good and grow brittle. Instead use purpose-made nylon surfboard straps sold at all surfshops.
http://www.ridershack.com/dakinebaja...aps-p-431.html One note for those that have the Cross bars. They are so wide that the only pads that I have found will work are the DaKine XLpads, which were designed for the Hummer H2 racks. |
thanks for the info...probably will go with the Yakima Low Riders....
