OT: Where did this thread go?
I just received two emails from RL saying that there were new posts to a topic I had subscribed to. When I clicked on the link
https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...1&goto=newpost
I received the following error????
Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator
Anyone know what that means? Thought it was a decent thread that had morphed
OT about guns and trucks...

I had simply assumed that with the new owners of Rennlist, you simply had to put a quarter in the slot of your computer to read threads.......apparently they haven't gotten that far in the business plan yet.

1. The thread wasn't OT. It was about a Cayenne and various forms of them. A few comments don't make it go OT, does it?
2. If it was OT, why not move it there and make a suggestion vs. killing it?
I'm confused?

It does not take a rocket scientist for anyone who frequents this board on a regular basis to figure out where this thread would lead. 1 dumb thread at a time is well enough.

The fact that others were participating, were saying "thanks for the post" and were contributing seems to me to be a good indication that it was being enjoyed.
I've been a member of RL for almost a year (which I realize is a lot less than others.) However, I post fairly regular, have made many friend and until today, have had nothing but a positive experience. At this point I'm not even sure how to respond beyond what I've said above.

"Mea Culpa," 993-C4S and Mr. Moderator, for pushing the original thread in an OT direction. I honestly didn't think it was too far afield, relative to many other threads on this forum. Perhaps 993-C4S' initial post could be reinstated, without the offending responses, in case other Cayenne Forum members would like to make comments along a more forum-appropriate avenue.

3. bye bye this thread since it is irrelevant and is dealing with Off Topic!!
other than that I have no strong opinions....

Sigs and Madfox,
Greatly appreciate the support.
Mudman2,
We haven't met yet, but I'm told by both Sigs and Madfox that you are a good guy and a long-time RLer. Maybe we can start again???
I don't really care if the thread is reinstated at this point. I was simply looking for an explanation of what made it so off-topic. At this point I think we've all had our say and can move on.
Thanks again to all.
