Default Should I consider Sport Seats?

Hi all!

Did a quick seach and did not find any discussion of sport seats. I'd like to know the pros & cons. Do you think they are worth the price? I know everyone will say "try'em and see...", but a short test is never conclusive.

I'm pretty hard to fit for car seats. Honda and Ford seats tend to give me a backache, the best seats I ever had for my comfort were in my 1.8 GTI (if that helps). I'm built a bit weirdly as well, which must be part of my problem, I'm 230lbs, 5'8" 46" chest, but only a 36" waist, and real narrow hips.

I tend to need a lot of lumbar curve, lots of extra side bolstering, and shouder support. Anyone else in the same boat?

Default seats

Have the sport seats and find them ok. Drove 8 hours on Sunday and had no fatigue. The bolsters on the sides are a little firm but not terrible in my opinion

I'm sure you did.

I did a quick search too, and found 135 threads - other than this one - on this forum alone.

Are you sure your computer is plugged in?

Hey, you guys are right. my mom and dad, who are also my aunt and uncle never did teach me to do a correct search.

Never found the answers I wanted, I guess they were handing out degrees to any retard that walked by at grad school.

I guess my 6,000+ posts and years of being a moderator on other foriegn car forums qualify me as a troll...

Thanks for all the help, dudes.

Thanks for the genuine help. I like a lot of bolster, it helps support my shoulders and lumbar area.

Are you built like me? ie: barrel chest?

You should go for them, I didnt add them on my car because it was an optional extra and that with the exclusive options I added is nearly surpassing my budget at that time.

Thumbs up

Hey, funny stuff! You are right my machine was not plugged in.

Funny, I still don't see the answers to the specific questions I had with regard to body type and compatibility with sport seats, I guess I have forgotten how to read English too...

...or perhaps someone only read the message header, and needed to feed the troll...

Anyway, as usual, old timers seem to forget (as in every forum), that a forum is a place for dialogue, not codification of past discussions as the aboslute and final truth, and as a past foum admin, I know that it seems easy to search, but that's only because you already know what you are looking for.

For those that had useful input, thanks for your help, for others I hope to maintain my high level of entertainment value by shortly staring a thread on towing and the merits of LED lights on trailers....

Please do. It's been a while. I'm hoping there have been major advances made since that time.

Stick around a while, pigs needs lovin' too.
