08 Cayenne S - A couple quick questions
I'm looking at a new 08 Cayenne S and had a couple of quick questions before I pull the trigger:
1 - The stock NAV system seems outdated.. so I was going to skip the NAV and get the base stereo package - I was planning on putting my own NAV system in.. My question is: Is the stereo space a double-DIN size?
2 - Are there any packages which I should DEFINITELY get? I was just going to go with the preferred package. I live in San Diego.
Thanks in advance!

It may be "outdated" - but its better than just the radio!!!
MUST HAVE AIR SUSPENSION!!!!
Think of any other choices then a Cayenne? Lots of money as you can get a true Truck and nice sports car for the price of a new Cayenne S - and be ready to lose money if you don't keep it for quite a few years!
Good Luck!

I purchased an 08 S model in July. The preferred package plus gives you the most value. However, it does include the Nav system. I also got air suspension and agree it is worth the money. Front and rear park assist is also a popular option.

I think the "Preferred Plus" pkg is the one that adds the Nav system on the Cayenne S. (At least that's what I remember when I was ordering my S).
On another note, I went ahead and still added the Nav system on mine--outdated or not, I figured that the one from Porsche would "fit" better and blend in nicely with the car.

I believe the space is double DIN. There are some previous posts regarding the installation of aftermarket NAV systems - search for those and you should find more information.
I agree that air suspension is a must have. Also, the wood package makes the interior look much more upscale, so I would suggest that too.
