Here's the picture of our seats. Mind you the passenger seat has MAYBE 5 butt miles on it. The Drivers seat has 350+ miles on it as that is how far the closest dealer is to us. It had 23 miles showing at the dealership. We are both thin people so it's not an obesity issue and even if we were, we've only had the car 7 WHOLE days. We've put MAYBE 20 more miles on it since we brought it home:

Yep... both of mine look that way and have for the last 8 months.
The upside is that the wrinkling has not progressed.

This is our second Cayenne S and I've never seen another one with this problem. I guess I'll never be able to show in in a Concours even if it's only a week old.

It's an excess of material which could have been influenced by several different factors: leather not pulled taut in all directions, stitched in the wrong area, stretching or shrinkage due to temperature changes.

Fortunately, a good upholstery shop should be able to correct the problem by pulling up the slack and re-stitching.

Should be a fairly straightforward matter to document the 'as delivered' condition of the seats, via digital photographs, and ask a Porsche dealer (either the delivery or servicing) to have PCNA inspect the photographs and/or seats for a warranty replacement.

I bought mine CPO so I didn't worry too much about it. On my black interior, it is not pronounced at all. However, as delivered new, I'd have a big problem with it.

Robert talked to our saleman today. We need to take a 5 hour drive to have the service department take pictures to send to Porsche so Porsche can decide what to do. This is our third brand new Porsche since 2001, I hope they know what to do if they want us to keep buying their cars. I'm really disappointed. Today was a beautiful day and I didn't drive the car because I'm afraid that the seats will get worse before we get it to the dealer. I really really like this car. Sheeeze.... always something.

I've done about 4000 miles in our '06 S with soft-look interior. There is just a very slight crease on the driver's seat bottom left side, which should be normal due to entry and exit.

Next time you exit the car, pay attention to see if you put a lot of pressure on that area.

If I were you, I wouldn't drive 5 hours to take care of this issue. I'd wait until you need to take the car in for some other reasons (such as an oil change).

Too bad that they would make you drag your *** over there to start the process of "what they can do about this" Why couldn't you just take a few more quality pictures and email them. It is not like they employ specialized photographers or something, or that they have a Cambo Wide DS with Schneider Digital 35mm f/5.6 and Phase One P25 back digital camera either! WTF!

I'm going to take a guess here.
You will be asked to bring the car back to the dealer so the regional PCNA tech manager can personally inspect the seats.
There will be a survey of new Cayennes on the lot to see if this is 'normal'.
Assuming PCNA offers you new seats (and I can't imagine an issue like this being considered at trial or even arbitration), given the JIT nature of Cayenne manufacturing and the low #s of Ti versions, I'm going to guess 8 weeks to get seats available at your US dealer.
In the end, I hope they do what is necessary to resolve your issue.
