Default 20K Maintenance Costs and Wiper Correction

Just got my CS back for a 20K Maintenance. Needed new tires and other miscellany. Any CS have a recent 20K. Wondering about the cost. I am still smarting and this was more than my 996C4S maintenance bill.

Good news is the wiper blades were replaced and the "angle of attack altered " for decreased noise. Have not tried them yet.

Thanks for any reality check data.

Had it done last month-- about $580, which included oil change, tire rotation, topping off fluids etc. Most of the cost was in labor ($120 p/h) to check a bunch of stuff.

I didn't need new tires or brake pads (the later kind of surprised me given the weight of the vehicle). Wipers were fine too.

Thanks- don't feel so bad but gives one pause....

Front Brakes- no rotation, little stuff and four new tires about $2000.

Ouch

We paid just over $300 for the 20k service on a 6. The oil change I can understand but the rest of the stuff they checked, other than the brakes and washer fluid, are things that would have been covered by warranty if found defective. It seems like paying to make sure the car was finished according to specs.

Yes I agree- they were finishing the job. Work was for the pad only plus labor. It all adds up. Not really happy but at least my wipers were fixed and now they are quiet.

What, you don't like the sound of 2 angry elephants having their asses dragged across your windshield by $75 wipers available only from your Porsche dealer?

I think you're being a little bit too picky

You forgot the part where you grab the windshield washer arm, hang on it like a chimp in the wild, get it bent at JUST the right angle of attack to prevent the 'elephants *** being dragged across your wet windshield' part.......

You can't.
As stated by Loren previously (and IIRC, he even showed the screen capture), you need either PIWIS (or PST2).

This link has a screen capture image of the 'reset service indicator' function:
