Default Hawk Brake Pads

After a whopping 15k miles on my CS my brakes are squeeking. Although I find this unacceptable I guess I should start to look into getting new pads. Does anyone have any feedback on Hawk Pads?

Don't be surprised ifin you need more than pads. It is common to replace the rotors too.

These parts look like a cost effective option to the factory parts.

Rotors after 15k miles are totally ridiculous but thanks for the link. I dont take the car on the track and 95% of the miles are highway miles

the truck is 5000 pounds and porsche pads always lean toward high performance, I would be happy that the truck stops so well instead of sad that you need new brake pads

Just make sure the rotors are inspected per the specifications.

I have no problem replacing pads or rotors but neither shud wear out at 15k miles. Period.

Squeaking doesn't mean the pads need to be replaced. How much pad material is left? That's easy enough to check without even pulling a wheel off the car.

They could just be a little glazed -- do a few hard stops on them to clean up the surface, and you'll probably find the squeaking goes away.
