In a word, yes. I wouldn't risk having some of the hesitation/shimmy issues with an order. Decide what are your "must haves" and then find what you want on the lot or on porsche.com and have the dealer trade for it contingent upon a satisfactory LONG test drive. You will save a lot of $$ over ordering and you'll own an incredible addition to your Porsche stable. I recommend the S only because it is less expensive to maintain and plenty powerful enough... but, if you're a "gotta have" power guy, then the TT will not disappoint. Come on in the official Cayenne Purplesaurus Kool-aid is waiting!

Well, I ordered mine and it was delivered with none of the common issues listed here. I don't have a hesitation, I don't have any issues with trailer lights on the three different trailers I have towed with it. With a set of 20" summer and 18" winter wheels/tires I don't have a vibration problem. I mounted the new set of 20's myself and balanced them on a regular old balancer, nothing fancy, no problems. Luck of the draw I guess.

Curious what kinds of trailers you towed with and how many running lights they had? Bet it didn't have too many running lights as the first time I towed a small single axle enclosed trailer it worked fine. When I hooked up my ATC 18' enclosed trailer, I had to disconnect several of the running lights ( over 20 on it stock) to get the running lights to work at all, and it still gives me the famous !. Hooked up the same trailer to a friend's Nissan Titan pickup and my neighbor's Suburban and they worked fine... don't get Lewis and me going...

Our problems with the trailer lights seems to be our use of "LED" lights on the trailers...

Actually JFS, I don't have LED's on my trailer, just too many running lights apparently...

Got my 996 back today after 2 weeks. Returned the Cayenne S after 1200 miles clocked.
Service manager asks, "How did you like it?"
I ticked off the 3 issues in my 1st post here. He asks, "Have you owned a Cayenne before?". I say , "No.". He replies, "Funny, you just mentioned the 3 top complaints with this vehicle." I just smiled and thanked him for the loaner. Maybe next model.

From a very recent post "NEW OWNER" and a fellow Cayenne owner's comments:
Don't worry about Itc, just read his posts, he lives to complain about the Cayenne.
Yeah, I'm sure I'll get blamed for scaring another customer away.

Hey not at all.. I can take blame on this as well.. Facts are facts.. even the dealer's service manager was honest about it.. No self-mutilation allowed!!
