Jack mode not used woes, please help 09' CTTS
Hi all,
Took Cayenne to tire shop to check on a slow leak(found nothing). I noticed the jack mode was not used, when they lowered it, the rear gap was 3x the front wheel gap. Enter this issue, driving home I noticed the ride is awful, feels like unbalanced wheels and pulls to the right. Any suggestions?

Drive the rear up onto ramps, slide underneath and disconnect the rear level sensor arm. Cycle the key to full accessory position which should make the rear come all the way down as the car tries to level but can't get a reading from the disconnected sensor. Then turn the key off. Remove the acorn nut in front of the driver's seat and remove the ground cable for 10 minutes. Reconnect the sensor arm under the car. Reconnect the ground cable. Drive the car off the ramps and cross your fingers.

OP - Sorry your Pepper got “jacked up”. To add to what Pete says (which should work), if you have a Durametric or compatible OBD device; once you get the rear to level you may be able to clear the suspension code and maybe not have to disco the ground after you reconnect the sensor arm.
Fair warning for the rest of us to make sure we put the suspension in the correct mode before letting mechanics flog the vehicle!

These cars are not that delicate... not using jack mode won't break anything. It's a safety issue if the car moves while teetering on a jack.
OP: the suspension needs to be inspected: they may have popped off, or broken one of the level sensors.

Yes, print the following on a laminated card:
WARNING!
Before raising vehicle - hold Suspension Lock, by
pushing this lever forward, for ten seconds
Center dash indicator will display
"Regulation Switched Off"
(Arrow pointing directly to lever)
Just leave the card on the center console, before car is to be on a lift.
Display to ALL automotive professionals!!!

Well... Took the Cayenne to finally have the slow leak repaired with the new sign and verbal info on how to lock out the suspension... when they were done it turns out they set the suspension to off road highest setting. All seemed well enough... I drove out of the lot fine, once I hit a certain speed, I saw the vehocle changing the suspension setting... Then it threw a code and the vehicle seemed to be sitting on a slant.. seemed...
It has an appt. with Karl at Rennsport KC in the morning, to see why the rear passenger(original offender) is now stuck at max height. Of course with a code now, the suspension won't do anything...
