Yeah, plain as day these are 7PP-035-411's and they were supposed to be 7PP-035-412.
Too many tabs open and just seeing what I wanted to see I guess.
Thanks, hopefully the seller will let me cancel.

Update: cancelled and got a refund.

I'll keep on the look-out, now that I've been bitten by the tweeter upgrade bug.

Glad you got a refund. Yeah, those are the base audio system tweeters it looks like. I had a hard time finding the Burmesters on eBay, thus ended up going with Delaware Porsche Parts. (Rennspec originally for the first pair, but they look like they are out of business.)

Just for giggles and ahh-has... these were made in Italy like the ones I thought I had found. Not Burmester? The yellow label is what fooled me.
I bet they would have been an improvement... just the wrong size etc.

Looking at the part numbers, 7PP-035-411 is the base tweeter, 7PP-035-411-D is the Bose tweeter, and 7PP-035-411-E is the Burmester tweeter (and a ribbon type - https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...er/7pp035411e/). The Made In Italy label threw me too, although I think I remember reading that there is a manufacturing plant in Italy that makes speakers for a lot of different brands & OEMs, including Burmester.

The Burmester tweeters that I used are actually a rear speaker as the front Burmesters are the ribbons shown above and don't fit (at least not without a lot of modification, and they are also 6 ohms).

ok, I have no idea... just curious.
I spent some time in Italy. Very nice country.

Also just saw Roman Holliday (1953) on my xfinity. Good flick.

The tweeters are sounding even better now that they are getting broken in. I probably have around 10 hours of playing time on them now. They are sounding more detailed, clean, and even have a bit of that "sparkle" that I like so much with good titanium dome tweeters. So all in all, I'm very happy with this upgrade.

The caps just arrived today for the new tweeters, and I actually have some time over the next few days, so hopefully I'll be able to install the rest of the speakers this weekend.

I started a new thread for the full speaker upgrade: https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...l#post18401582
