so, this is really going to happen ??.. don´t like it... if you want a "small" Porsche you go for a Carrera or a Boxster.. or maybe they are going the same way as BMW is with the X3.. maybe...

Nice photoshop work. I think if they built something like this, there's a real opportunity in the US market (the SUV makers here are doing the retro-reinvention thing with the Jeep and the Bronco) and the Hummer3 is a "cute ute" design. It would have to be narrower and the proportions would need adjustment (wheel in each corner, no overhangs) but I'd be tempted.

FWIW, I think the X3 has some improvements in design over the X5. And it's the least fussy Bungle car from BMW. If only BMW put some effort into identifying what people want in SUVs that aren't just "high rise station wagons."

I guess porsche is on to a new trend and has been watching the news. MAybe 911 sales are down cause our over weight population cant fit thier fat asses into 911's. This is a great way to shoe horn them into the drivers seat....LOL.

Cute--but hope it never happens. Stretch it instead-I'd like to see Porsche make a version with third row seat (a la Audi A7 Pikes Peak).

Seriously, I drove an X3 the other day. I REALLY wanted to make it work.
It's less than 30k for a base model if you pick it up in Germany. It looks
cute on the parking lot, but it drove like a motorized grocery cart about to tip over. The Cayenne on the other hand drove like a 5-series sedan. Worth the extra $$$$.... I also need to drive an X5 yet but as far as I am concerned the body style is already out of date...
