Default Beauty cover clips

Anyone find a way of retaining the clips that hold down the engine beauty covers? Circlips aren’t wide enough.
Im fed up of them springing out and having to fish them out of the bottom of the engine bay. I must have lost about a dozen over the years.

Thank you. That’s the clip or ‘fastening plug’ as Porsche describes it, not the washer that stops it pinging out.
it’s the washer that I need.

So you're telling me those clips are not supposed to shoot out at me when loosened? I really had no idea.

And I just bought a 10-pack on eBay for $0.99, coming from China, which still amazes me how it can possibly be so cheap.

I won an auction on various auto fasteners - 200 of them in a box, 20 different styles. $2.00 bid won it, and free shipping, but I probably won't see them until 2020..
